Martin Building Ltd – Terms & Conditions
1. Booking & Deposits
A deposit is required to secure your booking. This guarantees your place in our work schedule and allows us to begin necessary planning and preparation.
- Cancellations made 8 weeks or more before the agreed start date: The deposit is fully refundable, provided no costs have been incurred by MBL in preparation.
- Cancellations made within 8 weeks of the start date: The deposit will be subject to review based on notice period, planning time, and any costs incurred.
2. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Cancellations must be made in writing. Where possible, rescheduling may be arranged at MBL’s discretion and may incur additional charges.
3. Payments
Final payment is due upon satisfactory completion of the agreed works unless otherwise stated in writing. Late payments may incur interest or additional fees.
4. Changes to Scope of Work
Any alterations to the originally agreed work must be communicated in writing. Changes may affect the final cost and project timescale.
5. Materials & Access
All materials supplied remain the property of MBL until paid for in full. The client is responsible for providing reasonable access to the site and ensuring a safe working environment.
6. Delays
MBL will not be held liable for delays due to factors outside of our control, such as extreme weather, supplier issues, or client-side delays.
7. Workmanship Guarantee
We guarantee all workmanship for a period of 12 months from completion unless otherwise agreed. This does not cover damage due to misuse or lack of maintenance.
8. Insurance & Liability
MBL carries appropriate public liability insurance. Clients are advised to inform their home/buildings insurer of upcoming works. MBL is not responsible for pre-existing issues unless agreed upon in writing.
9. Health & Safety
We comply with all relevant health and safety legislation. Clients agree to keep the site safe for the duration of the works.
